Back To Write Again

It's been a long way since my last update in 2013, many thing was happened, I was too busy with rocking in, life, code, GTA V and all the for-nothing stuff. Now I'm back (hopefully with a great consistency) to write again.

The web technology has been advanced so fucking great so does the Blogger, it has many improvements such as the cool editor interface, personally I like it and want to switch from my old favorite half syntax HTML editor. Also, I may need to change this blog template since its begin look old to me then add a nice commenting system like Disqus. That's all for now, there are tons of stuff in my brain that open for fire.

Dream Theater World Tour

Time is running quickly but what I was missing? nothing, especially it is one of my favorite metal band tour, yeah Dream Theater (DT) is about to come to Jakarta at 21th April 2012. The tour is named after their 11th album's title: A Dramatic Turn of Events world tour and luckily they also pick Jakarta as tour destination, so I would like to say thanks to Variant Entertainment as promoter for bringing the progressive metal band here (and also for the high-price ticket). This is their first (might be the ONLY one) visit to Indonesia, so I will not take any compromises and must go to the show.

Saturday 21th April I wear my metal attributes: Black CONVERSE John Varvatos (limited edition), Black Led Zeppelin sweater and a old black jeans, unfortunately my DT t-shirt is out of date now, so no DT stuff. Approx. at 3 PM I start from Arion Plaza by a taxi heading to Mata Elang Indoor Stadium (MEIS) at Ancol for the metal show after withdrawing the ATM for IDR 2,000,000.

Arrived at MEIS stadium, there are already a lot of DT's fans and they are here also for one reason: A metal show from a world class band, just like me. Then I look for the official ticket sale, and I feel lucky because there are buy-1-get-1-free ticket that means if you buy 1 ticket you will get 1 free ticket, it cost IDR 1,500,000 but with one condition: the voucher will be available for exchange (for the real ticket) after 7.45 PM, yeah sounds like a marketing strategy or what the hell. I will have 2 tickets, so I call my friend Iwan and asked if is available to join me for the show, considering he was also a crazy DT fan, yeah, of course he was available.

It is on 4 PM, DT fans is keep coming from everywhere, still has a lot of time to wait before the show that begin at 9 PM. So I wasted my times by taking some pics, walking around in front of MEIS stadium, eating AW fast food and walking. At 7.30 PM, the stadium was fulled by fans who came for the live show. I was queued for ticket exchange and got it, 2 Last Entry Festival tickets, at the time peoples were entering the stadium, one I still missing is Iwan, he was still heading here. I wait this guy in front of stadium until he came at probably 9 PM.

Entering MEIS stadium and going to the festival area, it still a solo acoustic guitar player as opening, peoples are shouting while he played A Change of Session intro as his closing. The band's crew are coming, opening the black large fabric and the stage showing up. Fantastic view, so that is the Dramatic Turn of Events tour's theme, it has 3 big box as background display and fantastic lightnings, the crew also tune some well known rock song, some of them are Anything Goes (AC/DC), Welcome To The Jungle (Guns N' Roses) while preparing. And the shows begin, John Petrucci attack us with Bridges In The Sky, you know the situation should be, a metal band with almost 8000 fans are watching, the band continue with Build Me, Break Me Down also from Dramatic Turn of Events album. Then a nostalgic song: 6.00 (Awake), after that Jordan Ruddes take the intro of Sorrounded (Images And Words), I keep singing and banging my head. The spectator did the same, keep their hand higher with metal sign and follow James LaBrie singing while the lights keep it's magic. The band continue with these songs in a a row The Root of All Evil (Octavarium), A Fortune In Lies (When Dream And Day Unite). After that, John Petrucci pick a accoustic guitar and sit beside James LaBrie, it is going to be acoustic. We sing together when they playing Silent Man (Awake), a very good song, then followed by the last song of Dramatic Turn of Events album, Beneath The, what can I say, this song was so beautiful and meaningful, one of DT killer song. Continue with On The Back of Angels. Then the most liked song: The Spirit Carries On (Metropolis), yeah everybody is singing and enchanted by this one. After that is Mike Mangini drum solo, I think he is very skilled drummer who able to replace Mike Portnoy, and John Myung also rocks too. Continue to Breaking All Illusions, this song is very dynamic and complex, It has good pattern and reff lyrics to sing. We want more... We want more... we are shouting this after they left the stage, this is a ancient band ritual, the band want to hear if you are demanding more. So they back to the stage and playing Pull Me Under (Images And Words), and the fans was again enjoying the famous DT's hit. So this is will be their last song. What a very fantastic and monumental event.

So that's all, Dream Theater live. thanks DT, you are one of the best band in my soul. That's all I can say. Then me and Iwan take a rest at AW for some foods and drinks, then leaving Ancol.

Bee's Sting

Last morning, when I was jogging at Rawamangun stadium, I was stung by some Bees, before it I looked a group of children (maybe at medium-school-age) running just like being chased, without any doubt I just passed the way.

I saw some bees surround me, and shit they stung me, I run as fast as I can but the bees keep chase me and I was hearing the children laughing on me ;) they are disturbs the bees, the sting was very hurt!!!

New Hosting

So here I am in the new domain and hosting, to run my modest blog, will transfer posts from my old blog manually later, this domain ordered and activated pretty fast, thanks for hosting corporation. Beside blog, I can store and manage my pieces of code here rather than the paste-like-bin sites. What do you think with the domain's name? too difficult? indeed, this is just for my personal information.

Rock on Saturday

From yesterday I just stayed in my room, playing with my old friend: Thinkpad T30. I registered M2 Broadband and did some fun in the net, I admit that the broadband service is sucks, better than nothing, isn't it?. I was working on gBilling did many improvements and pushing the source code to SourceForge Git repository, from now gBilling development should use the repo, I will announce it later in pre-release. I also create a Python script to be used to simulate GTO and KSPT Terminal communication.

At Sunday afternoon, I played my PRS guitar, learn a lesson from John Petrucci's Rock Discipline video as Guitar Pro format. Had fried rice after fasting at Super Grosir store. But sorry, I'll pay it later.

ARM based Notebook

This is maybe a ARM week for me, Trio my office friend told me about this notebook, produced by an Indonesian made Notebook vendor ELEVO. It is using ARM9-533 Mhz processor comes with 10" display, 128 MB RAM, 2 GB Nano Flash storage, 802.11g Network Adapter, Built-in camera, 3 USB port, 1 SD card port. The more exciting thing is it's prices, sold only for about Rp.1.398.000. The ELEVO ARM based notebook series come with 2 model, the R7 and R10, the difference between them is only the display size.

I'm very interesting to buy the R10, yes it is! it is based on ARM board, it is a `litle' unique processor for notebook, isn't it?. The bundled OS is Windows CE 6.0 but i want to make it Linux heh.

Quit from smoking

This my 4th day for quit from smoking, this kills but i'll not going down. Quit from smoking kill as smoking it self, but better to quit. I still get a new life after death from `killed' by quit smoking. Also smoking is not cool anymore (when smoking is cool?)

The 12th day, I still have strong suggestion for smoking but I can handle this more easily than before, a few days before I can't prevent the suggestion, so I suck some smokes just to taste the nicotine in my blood (3 - 5 sucks i guess). The significant progress is I can concentrate for writing some codes without having them, that's very hard to accomplished when I was smoker active.

Nothing special today, hacking gcloner last night and playing Call of Duty 2 and The Sims. Wake up at 12.32 PM and continue hacking. Having lunch at Hoka-Hoka Bento at Arion Plaza, bought some wheat breed and Reader Digest magazine. Here in DB, production employees work very hard to finish our equipments.

Sony Ericsson W508

Yesterday Me and Hadi were going to ITC Cempaka Putih, I want to buy a new phone (again). My target were Motorola V8 and Sony Ericsson W508, this my first time there. I found Motorola V8 dummy phone, but disappointed with it's looks, the V8 looks wider than my V3 and too elegant for rocker 'n roll man like me ;), so i changed my mind to W308. Yeah, they are flip phone, i like flip phone.

This is a Sony Ericsson's WALKMAN phone series, it's has approximately 100MB internal memory and has 1GB Sony Memory Stick M2 card, GPRS, 3G and 3.5G (HSDPA) networking support. It was bundled with Facebook, NetFront Browser, RSS Feed, Google Maps, and many more. I bought for Rp. 1.525.000, very interesting features and price for a middle grade phone.

Creed: Full Circle album

Last night I go to Arion Mall, just for relaxation since I don't have exact point there. I come to Disc Tara and look for some CD. There are some well known Rock album there, I see newest Creed album: Full Circle, actually I already have it's pirated digital copy, but since I was a Creed fans i must realize it by buying their CD. Rocker Style

Today as usual we worked at Jagorawi for our new toll equipments, installing TCT Open, IP Camera and Server at Cibubur, fix ALB closed-arm trigger at Ciawi, and little update at Bogor. Then have dinning at Bogor 'Warung Jambu'.

I saw and hear many unpleasant thing this day, about sucks style and weak musics's genres. I should tell them about Rock, Rocker perspective, and it's style from now...

Fever again

I still got a fever, it's have been for 4 days, my stomatch feel not comfortable, before it too late I must goto the Doctor as soon as possible. Tonight with Gonzales, Dwi and Gunarto at production office doing some C++ codes and read Linux.com.

2010

Okay, happy new year 2010, the best news in this new year is Anty my girlfriend comes to Jakarta, she start from Kendari at 31 December 2009 using Lionair Airplane, i bought her return tickets ;). She arrived at approximately 6.30pm, i was too late to pick her because i must attended a meeting at my office. Go to Rawamangun Bus Shelter at 11pm, there are no Airport Bus left, so i pick a cab to the Airport. Arrived there, pick her, and we were celebrating the 2010 New Year at that cab. We are enjoy our times. Anty back to Kendari at 4 January 2010, i also accompanied her to the Airport. See you later my girl.

Don't feel so good

I don't feel so good today, maybe because my sleep isn't enough last night or got a fever, i don't have much spirit for coding the TCT right now. Anty call me, she complain about my internet activity and told that i always make her feel stupid. Wiwin still wait. I'm sorry for you all, my bad.

Lazy for writing

I admit, i have been too lazy to update my blog. Here some news that i need to tell:

• I'm learning the CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT patch for realtime Linux task.


• I'm writing TCT simple database library, at this time my only option is SQLite, since the simple library is currently in heavy development, by me, alone, with no good theory of database system.


• And the coolest thing that I already got new home at Pulo Asem, there are some hot girls there, I'm enjoying that place for this time.

That's all, i'll try to update my blog just in time. This night in Office, with Dwi and Gunarto, Gunarto play Facebook Pooker and Dwi is sleeping.

Low Back Pain

I got low back pain (LBP) yesterday and still feels it's pain, but no more pain as yesterday, i guess i was exercise too much within this 2 days. Anty call me that night, by following the way of her conversation i though she maybe already change her way, i feels like that. If the situation happen again (my life in 2005 at Bandung) i should give it up, just take your own way because i surrender.

Mandiri ATM Card

Last day, I was accompanied by Dwi to Pulomas Mandiri branch to get my new ATM card. The card has been lost, i guess it lost when i was charged some moneys at Superindo store in front of my offices. After follow and sign some documents that asked by the Mandiri's officer, now i got the new ATM card. Thanks for you Dwi.
